Four Mile Historic Park


The Summit Community is invited to attend a spring field trip at Four Mile Historic Park!

The Park is a tranquil 12-acre historic oasis and the site of Denver's oldest structure! We will be doing the following activities:

1. Packing the Wagon (students learn about the journey pioneers would have taken)

2. Taking an Architecture Walk (students learn about the house and look at the different architectural features)

3. Making Cornhusk People (students create a cornhusk person)

4. Panning for Gold

5. Playing Pioneer Games

Cost: Free for Summit students and staff, parents/chaperones/siblings over 3 are $3.50 each,

siblings ages 3 and under are free

Date: Either Monday, April 19th or Tuesday, April 20th, 2021

Where: 715 South Forest Street, Denver, CO 80246

Time: 12-2pm, Families are welcome to come at 11:30 and eat lunch outside at the park beforehand
