All applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are submitted through the district website: EnrollJeffco.org JA Secondary is currently accepting applications for enrollment. Applications submitted now through August, will be placed at the bottom of our waitlist, unless we have openings.

Tours/Prospective Family Night (Open House) - Our Prospective Family Night will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025; 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Students and younger siblings are welcome to attend. RSVP is not necessary.

We will offer tours beginning in January 2026. Dates and times are yet to be determined. Please check back in December or call the Secondary office at 720-887-1992.

First Round Choice enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will begin December 2, 2025 and end on January 9, 2026. Students will be placed in a lottery. Jeffco schools will start sending out offers on January 20, 2026. Second Round enrollment begins January 15, 2026. Second round participants will be placed at the bottom of First Round waitlist according to the date of the application.

When a family is offered and has accepted a position for a student that is new to Jefferson County, they will need to complete the online registration and upload a copy of birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.  
Jefferson Academy’s Enrollment Priority List

  • Staff children

  • Siblings of current and returning students at Jefferson Academy

  • Sibling Accepted (Waitlist only)

  • Students currently attending Summit Academy or another JA Campus

  • Jefferson County residents

  • Out-of-County residents

  • Second Round Open Enrollment begins January 15, 2026. This is for families that did not submit an application in EnrollJeffco (First Round) or declined an offer and choose to apply again. Students in Second Round are placed at the bottom of the First Round lists.

Jefferson Academy Secondary(JA) is a Choice Enrollment school with student priority placement based on the Jefferson Academy Board Policy 8.1 and follows the district enrollment process using the EnrollJeffco system. 

Additional Enrollment information:

  • Transportation is not provided for students attending JA.

  • A change of schools may affect athletic eligibility, please contact the JA Athletic Director with questions.
