To our Jefferson Academy Charter Schools Community,
We would like to inform you that an additional seat on the Board of Directors will become available due to term limitations affecting one of our current board members. As a result, the Board will appoint an individual to serve in this open position for a one-year term beginning in June.
The board, pursuant to Board Policy 2.6(i)-Vacancies, will be accepting letters along with resumes from candidates interested in filling the vacancy. Letters and accompanying resumes are due by Monday, June 1, 2026. This invitation is open to parents and caregivers across all of our JACS campuses. The appointment will be made by the current board members at the next scheduled Board of Directors meeting in June.
Letters of interest and resumes can be submitted to Jerrilynn Lilyblade at jlilyblade@jajags.com and please make yourself available at our next Board meeting scheduled for June 9th at 6:00pm. We would appreciate you appearing in person at Summit Academy (7575 West 103rd Avenue, Westminster, CO). If appearing in person is not an option, you may appear by zoom (link will be provided in the board agenda). After the appointment is voted on, new Board members will immediately be seated. There are no special skills necessary other than a desire to serve and collaborate with the board, executive director, and administration to create policy that elevates our JA community.
